“The Making of a Moment”

How does a moment make a moment? How does it make us freeze?
How can it slow time until it stops entirely letting us think every-
thing over without a single thought? We aren’t meant to be any-
where else, and we don’t want to be.

“Blue”

I always used to love the color blue. It was the color of so many things, from the sea to the sky. I loved all shades of blue.
Royal blue, deep and vibrant. The color of the ribbon I won in my first writing competition.

“Heart Attack”

My heart drummed against my rib cage as my hands trembled with the scalpel in my grasp. I try to catch my breath and steady my heart rate as I grip the scalpel harder. The once cold metal now becoming warm from the heat emanating from my palms as they turn clammy.
